Nice idea. As long as you sitting docked to load or unload you have free "fuel" from shipper/receiver. Could it make lumpers wake up?
Who is/will be the 1st TTR member to drive Electric Semi-Truck?

They found some decent info, too bad they don't understand axle weight and bridge law.

Ask your diesel guy how many 1,000 HP diesels are out there. How about 1,200 hp? Semi EVs can easily and reliably have those numbers.
Now about those mountains where the diesels burn diesel up and burn brakes down...
Trucking is all about cost. The final battle will be long haul with time vs cost per mile. IMO diesel will lost that one eventually.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
i can't wait, trucking will be cush af, like comparing a summer road trip in a 1980s van with weak ac to the same adventure in a 2022 Yukon DenaliD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

I’m wondering what a 10 hour shift of Loves/Pilot/TA EV charging will cost?
What slows an EV down going downhill that is going to save brakes? I really don’t know what kind of mechanism is in place to help slow them down as I have not researched it.
I did look at the Tesla website the other day and I would love to run around in one of tue upcoming Tesla roadsters. #### things are fast.

Really? Seems to me they hit it right on the head. And what does bridge law have to do with the tractor?
On a standard ICE over-the-road truck, the limits are 12,000 pounds for the steerer, 34,000 pounds for the drivers (17K + 17K), and 34,000 pounds for the tandems (17K + 17K). That's how you get the 80,000 max loaded weight most people are familiar with regarding over-the-road trucks. The numbers for the Semi are 12,600 on the steerer and 36,200 on the drivers, 2,800 pounds more than those for a traditional diesel-powered tractor. -
electric semi trucks will be awesome
