Back when I was driving, truckstop food was often bland and dull, so I often tried to find different food stops, and even came across a few non-traditional truckstops, like a small place in the suburbs of Detroit owned by a Syrian family that sold middle-eastern meals, or a black-owned truckstop on I-10 in Louisiana that had really good catfish dinners, or an Indian-owned truckstop off the 401 in Ontario. I never drove California much, but I've heard about places that do full Mexican food out there, and I guess more and more people of south Asian descent are getting into the business, so I'm sure there are places that cater to that clientele (I've heard of one in Texas).
So, I was thinking that this might be a place to share your finds. Most of the places I mentioned really didn't look like much from the outside and often didn't advertise, either.
