    Moving tandems with a point loaded coil as you put it "hammocks" the trailer, go ahead, move it ONE pin.. its a pita

    ...and, just to confuse things even more, Canadian weight limits are completely different. Many trailers had a 'Canadian spread', in which the axles are 2m apart, in order to carry 10,000kg's each. And also, in Quebec, there is the "période de dégel", a 6 week period at the end of winter when all axle loads are reduced 20%.....
