Bro... On my first delivery to Kingdom Tires in Dallas, TX I hit the main gate. I hopped out the truck and forgot to pull the breaks. My the time I jumped back in it slightly hit the gate. That's an incident. Many many years later, I basically put a trailer in a ditch. I paid for the wrecker out my pocket and the company never knew. Nothing was damaged... I just misjudged the turn and the back trailer tires were stuck. You'll be ok.
You will learn from this. Next time, JUST MAKE SURE YOU CONTINUE TO CHECK. You can never be too sure.

Just wanted to update everyone. Dropped the truck off at the terminal Monday. My manager wasn't there which was probably for the better. Went back to my old job and actually making a living wage again. Not upset or anything about leaving such a terrible company, I know there will be better opportunities in the future. Thank you to every single one of you who have helped me throughout these past couple months, you've done more than you will ever know. Truly thankful that I had this resource and I hope the stories I've shared have given y'all some laughs and new drivers in the future stumble upon this thread for their sake.
CatchUp, 4mer trucker, Deleon and 8 others Thank this. -

I delivered a brand new trailer to their HQ in Nashville some years ago. It was a Friday, the new hires had completed training and were going out to their assigned tractors for the first time.
About 20 guys, all stripes and flavors were in a single file leaving the training building walking out slowly to the trucks all in a row. Leading the line was a Western Express employee, clipboard in hand.
The only thing missing were the leg shackles and waist handcuffs. -
Don’t forget the guard dogs, watch towers, barbed wire and high powered rifles!
Studebaker Hawk, CatchUp, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
Haha I don't know what it is with the Nashville and Richmond terminals that was so strict. Everytime I'd have to stop there it was a set your brakes show your ID affair

Nashville used to be a little more laid back.Ktucker17 Thanks this.
