Did it work? We have the same problem on a T600. Wipers will just decide not to work...then they'll work again. Is there maybe a relay or a circuit breaker somewhere in the circuit that would cause this? Maybe its weak and it flips....then you take the fuse out and put it back in and then they work?? We have replaced nearly ever piece of it....I HATE GREMLINS!!! lol
Do you have p/n for tha switch?? Will it work on a T600 you think?? I would think they would all be the same.
Wipers controlled via computer?

The cheaper switch is literally identical to the one that costs $355, and works for T2000's but for some reason they said it won't work for T300's. Not sure about T600's. I'll try to install the part tomorrow and replicate the problem. I'll post the part # tomorrow when I am at the shop. If there is no controller module for the wipers then this switch *should* fix the problem. LOL yeah, riiiight.

I replaced the old wiper switch with the new, "cheaper" one. The new part came with a knob, but I didn't need it and just reused my OEM one.
Simple job and took 10 minutes. Only time will tell if the gremlin is gone or not.
Part #: 75600-02
Description: Switch-Wiper
Price: $65.30, out the door
The IDENTICAL kenworth spec'd part is $355, but this awesome parts guy found a clone for much less, obviously. He's gettin' a box of donuts when I go in next week.
Here, have some pictures.Attached Files:

Found what was wrong with ours...check it out..we had the same symptoms. Boss happened by it today...was looking for it in the rain. Driver lost them on way home today.

Where the wires come out of the fire wall and up to the motor look at all the wires and examine them. We had a small rub in the insulation where if goes up agaist the heater core box. It had rubbed it and you couldn't see it unless you looked really close. This is why everytime he would unplug from that area and replug then it would work...because you would pull the wire away from the box. Then it would eventually get back on it and not work. Would blow fuse...just would work again. Explained alot...love easy fixes...but hate the money and time it takes to get to it. The wiring is not very tight running up the firewall either...should've been loomed...although it might have been before we got the truck.
Gotta LOVE gremlins!!!
VisionLogistics Thanks this. -
Just a follow-up: Since installing the new cheaper wiper switch the problem hasn't happened again and I no longer have to R&R the wiper fuse to restore functionality.
The KW parts guy saved me $300 on that part, so I wrote a nice email to his boss (only took 5 minutes) and expressed my intent to become a loyal customer, and that the parts guy deserved a pat on the back for good service. Never got a response, but the last time I went in to pick up another part, the parts guy had a big smile and called me by first name.
Nice to get good service! -
