What all drivers should do is if they take longer than x amount of hours to load/unload (let's say 4+ for example) when done say sorry you took soo long I am out of hours and it is unsafe for me to move my truck as I'm too tired.

If you want my truck to move you can pay for a towing to company to move me because it's your fault that you took too long.

If you think that's ridiculous, a few posts up a driver said he was up 24 hours and will get 2 hours of sleep before driving all night

I don't care how safe you think you are, you are a lot less safe not rested.

Got to stop these places from wasting our time and pushing us around on no sleep.

If they would carry enough staff, set appointments correctly and actually do their job there should be no issues gets trucks moved in timely manner.

My only thought on the whole mess is, "you ordered the crap, why are you charging to unload it?" It's akin to charging FedEx/ UPS/Amazon for delivering to your house.

Careful what you wish for. Some will call the cops and tow company.
Try explaining that to your company.

    Let them.

I would tell the cop they kept me here forever and is unsafe for me to drive because I haven't slept in long time.

Technically if they ask you to move and you don’t you can be arrrsted and charged for trespassing. If you claim you are past your hours, that is what the log exemption is for. If you claim you are too tired, I’m sure a tow company will remove your truck and bill you for their time.

I agree it’s a bad situation and sucks for drivers but this will not be a fight we will win.

I will put glad hand locks on my trailer and place a tent in front of my truck and go to sleep.
Tell them I will move when they pay me for wasting all that time, cash money.

Reminds me of Kraft Foodservice in Phoenix long gone now , with a OO waving his pistol around in the check in room with the lumpers.

They can’t tow the truck with you in it. Just don’t get out
