Well the truck died on me few times yesterday and started up, but now today it died in me few times but wouldn’t fire back up! Until after a bit! Got it in the shop I’ve checked igniton switch power comes out when I turn key and u hear the relay behind dash tick, the solenoid on starter tho doesn’t, so I tried battery disconnect switch and checked battery’s and nothing! I jump start the truck and it cranks and cranks but won’t fire up!
Also side note the temp gauges and battery gauge don’t work when I turn key to run but when I try to start it, it clicks then gauges start working….. every time.
DD16 not starting

Sounds like maybe a loose and or corroded ground. Check and clean battery connections.
Relays don’t take much to power, but that starter does. -
Yeah I checked all of those connections of electrical! batteries fire wall, idk where else.
-
Also to mention. When I turn key the abs doesn’t do it’s checks or the buzzing noise for ur fuel priming….
-
Sounds like then maybe the ignition switch, but you said you are getting power. Unless it has several feeds.
How many things does the ECM control?
I have heard of batteries with one bad cell that can cause problems too, but just shooting in the dark here. -
i had switched out the switch incase as their is 4-5 wires on it and still wouldn’t give! I’m not sure how many things it controls but I’m leaning to that! Batteries idk about i tighten them all and cleaned all posts.

Well, hopefully someone on here with far more knowledge than me will be along to help you.
Perchie15 Thanks this. -
I had two in floor power switches go bad in cascadia. If the switch is bad you will have emergency lights blinking and nothing on cluster when you try starting. The switch controls small black computer on drivers side firewall, it has a light blinking on it i think, it then provides or disconnects power to everything. There are couple heavy gauge wires going to it, maybe those are loose?
