If love to be parked by then every day, but this isn't 9-5. I start a lot of days at 4-5am just so I can quit by then, but not every load works out that way.

Same. I have some leeway but like to be stopped by 1700. Depends on the load though. Last week I was getting stopped closer to 2100 usually. My last company I heard a driver say they start their clock at 0500 every day regardless of whether they actually got going or not.

One of the big problems is too many drivers don’t want to drive after dark even if it’s only till like seven 8 o’clock in the evening… If all these solar power drivers want to do is drive during daylight hours, they need to go back and find a job in McDonald’s

Friend of mine at shaffer went to his truck to today to roll out from the house and noticed there was a puddle of coolant under his truck, so the truck went to Freightliner and the response from dispatch…geez, “couldn’t you have given us more time to try and save the load, you sure didn’t give us much time”…right on par with mgt..blame the driver..no wonder so many are leaving..

I guess dispatch doesn’t understand the concept of pre trips being an on duty activity.

Cpm is .63 however real cpm .53 since .10 is performance pay. Performance pay however is easy enough to get.

Guarantee on the other hand is different per account and is also easy to have. Mine is $1350 a week but that also means to not take more than 48 hours off in a pay period, which includes hometime.

Also I won't be here for much longer. Nothing bad about Marten at all but got news family back home not doing to good so leaving to take care of business.

Easy enough to come back in the future and world recommend them just on the fact I was paid $750 to just chill at a terminal while my truck my truck was down.

Many other companies would ship you off immediately pay a fraction of it, or have you fight them to get anything.

One thing that you will need to get use to is inputting everything manually.

Unlike at Crete/Shaffer where you just put in your trailer and then if reefer/hazmat and temps. Here you have to enter weight, pc count, bol, trailer temps, seal#, and scan in first page of bol showing temps before leaving the shipper.

Last load I did I didn't get the bills till I was at the guard shack so had to park on the street with 4ways blocking one lane of traffic to quickly input info.

Trucks come with a scanner if you don't want to use the one that comes with the app.

Again Marten has been a wonderful place in the 1.5 weeks I've been here but the sudden issues at home call for me to leave.

Having parents both in their mid 60s can be tough and I need to make sure they all right so staying home for a few months to make sure of that.

All on duty activity should be paid for on the job work or tasks besides driving... we all still have the 70 cap if some fools would take advantage

Just got a warning heads up call from AM telling me freights low (near Portland) and that you may not get a load till the 30th or am unwanted 34... wow good luck keeping drivers around with that bs already gave us 2 days driving on last 2 loads... freight slow i don't care compensate for drivers time on the job especially when they have time to roll a full days... not sure if lower bidding megas are swooping contracts from under crete with lower bids but you can't expect a worker to give up their time for free...
