I am parked next to really nic kw w900. It's been idling for 7 hours now. All I hear "brrrmbrrrrmbrrm pshhhhhhhh brrrrmbrrrrmbrrrrm pshhhhhhh" I don't get it. I've been playing my ps5 and cooking, not once I had to turn the truck on and it's really nice outside.
Why are you driving so FAST with fuel costs so high?!

It’s because they don’t have to pay 10k when they plug up the emissions.shanman, Albertaflatbed and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

Lemme ask you this, were you by any change driving Eastbound on I-80 in PA today?

Had to ask because I blew everyone's doors today, I delivered in Akron, OH this morning and I had to make it back to the port in NJ by 4pm to drop the empty container off and grab a loaded container with a last free day being today, the steamship line would bill me $550 per day if I didn't get that container out today, I couldn't get to it earlier in the week because I was backed up with other containers, it happens every now and then when you take more work than you can handle 6 weeks before the ship arrives thinking that you'll manage them, when you think of that $550 you won't care about fuelAlbertaflatbed, Siinman and Richierich76 Thank this.

People are so worried about what others are doing. Who cares how fast they drive? Who cares if they idle? They’re the ones paying their fuel bill and you don’t know what they’re hauling or what the rate is.
God prefers Diesels, Vampire, blairandgretchen and 17 others Thank this. -
We’ll that’s different…I had a 3406 & a 6nz didn’t care if I idled. Now this DD16 I have I won’t idle overnight.
I was referring to the company drivers in the fleet trucks that have emissions and choose to idle them.Siinman Thanks this. -
That's kinda like asking why someone buys a particular make of truck, everyone has their preference. Some guys are running expedited freight that pays well and some just won't be in business long.

Mine are built to step, not to sip. And they’re driven accordingly.
