Yeah, those pics remind me of running I-80 & US-30 in the winter in Wyoming... sometimes, you just had to exercise a little common sense and find a good spot to ride out the storm. One thing new drivers need to remember: weather will eventually change, and NO load is worth your life or the lives of others on the road. If anybody pressures you to run in dangerous conditions, you can always refuse and tell that wanker it's a "safety issue." Worst-case scenario, you deliver a bit later than planned. Which reminds me of a humorous T-shirt I once saw a trucker wearing...

The shirt showed a rig parked outside of a casino, and another part of the shirt showed the driver inside yanking on a one-armed bandit, 10-4? The caption or wording read: "WHY SHOULD I HURRY? THEY'LL STILL NEED IT WHEN I GET THERE..." It was friggin' hilarious, I even told the driver how funny it was and he just laughed... hey, when you see a driver wearing a classic trucking-related T-shirt, ya gotta give that driver props, same way I always compliment those who wear 2nd Amendment T-shirts. Which somehow reminds me of a classic Covid hoax T-shirt I saw: "THE MEDIA IS THE VIRUS!!!"

I've got enough ADD in me that I need constant challenges in life. Being that I ain't done much of it, I kinda enjoy the winter driving. But even I, a glutton for punishment, stays off 80 in Wyoming.

Not because I can't handle the weather. I can't handle idiots.

And once ya compare recovery costs to whatever time ya lost sitting and riding out the storm, well, it just makes sense to get off the road when conditions get that bad, aye? o_O

P.S. I believe I saw this posted notice at a chickenhouse in Wyoming...

Hmm….I’m impressed by the lack of white Volvos and FedEx doubles.

There was actually a white Volvo trying to hide in the median, using the snow as “camouflage”. lol
I actually feel sorry more for Wyoming Highway Patrol than the drivers because they have to deal with the idiocy!

I turned around and went back to Salt Lake City and got a load to AZ. Was trying to dead head home but got caught in that ####. Waited one night and seen it was gonna get real bad and left. Now in a nice warm area and washed my truck. It sure looks nice without none of that Salt on it.
