last week I for about 2500 miles. This week so far with my 3 loads is 2300. Hopefully my DM will give me another 600 or 700 mile load on Monday after my beer load to council bluff.

I finally got routed to a decent fuel stop! No parking though... but that seems to be the norm on I 70. On I 80 when i was training every truck stop had plenty of space. It was a Bosselman / Pilot. The restaurant was Grandma Max's just so happens tonight was prime rib night on the buffet. When the girl cut the meat it was an inch and a half thick and took up the whole plate!

Going up US 71 to get on the 70 there was no snow at all... once i crossed into the Kansas City metro area, I get snow flurries... Exit the city on the 70 and they stop... until I cross into the topeka area, more snow flurries. Exsit on the other side, no more snow. Same thing happened in Salina too. Wtf, it only snows in the city?

Funny thing about those mirrors are that they are easy to adjust. Also try backing off by about .5mph on the open road. Sometimes these engines don't like running against the govenor.

Jess... I know you're not knocking the upgradees. Unfortunately the training process can't weed out all the incompetent drivers. And logistically there is no way that every upgrade can get a Volvo. But, if they're gonna give someone the keys to a W9 they should at least road test in one first, especially if they didn't train in one.

I love this W9, but it's like being in a relationship, lots of compromise, total commitment, and sometimes you got to stroke her the right way to get what you want out of her. Treat her wrong and...

Me and my W9 are in an open relationship. I told her if a sleek prostar came knocking on my door then we may have to part ways.

Actually if u run ur 11 out u can get between 630 - 650 miles in one day governed at 62 actually 61.8, but who's counting.

Well on my way home for some much needed hometime 10 weeks is long enough for me. Can't say the miles were good all those weeks but my dm was out in surgery for 3 weeks so the other dm's didn't care about my miles at all. As soon as he got back miles came back to. Funny how that works.

Well gonna be in sac, CA tomorrow load doesn't deliver at my 99 till tuesday n hometime doesn't start in stockton till wednesday so I will be sitting around prolly visit some fam while I'm there.

Take it easy out there ladies n gents

I have been trying and trying to get to one of my company's terminals (accept Columbus) to have my ECU reset.
We have this stupid "driver reward" program on there for idle.
If you go over 25% it cuts truck speed to 63, on up to 40%+ where it cuts it back to 60. Well, I have had the truck over 2 weeks now and I have kept my idle below 20% most days, but it is still at 60.
The last guy that had the truck really really ran it up, and it is hurting me bad.
I was pressed against my 70 for 3 days straight, and would not have been if the truck would go 64-65.
The mechanic that gave me the truck knows it was not my fault it is high though, but his computer is broken. So he put a note in my maintenance log to have it reset at another terminal.

Other than that I like my new prosar. It is at 47,000 miles now. Running well.
It turns on a freakin dime. Much better than my 9400's and other internationals have the last few years. Probably as good as the Volvo 670's at Central. Though it has a much longer wheel base than those.
I have always liked the way the long nose Pete's and KW's look, and I have driven both over the years. But I have no interest in driving eather with a 53' box.
I really have no use for them at all accept to look at them. They are not any better or any better made than other trucks on the market.

Thanks, It's a hard decision. I won't be getting into OTR driving, but a straight truck job looks promising where my brother in law works. Unfortunately my stop 01 is tomorrow morning and don't have time to check out the job further. But I am going to get most of my stuff out of the truck today.
As for Techie Kate, it was my understanding that she quit several months back. I could be totally wrong on that. But her thread did help alot of us out before going to "school".
Thanks for your input... now it's time to talk to the wife about this.

We ladies and gentlemen I am proud to announce the new Qualcomm central will be installing into our trucks.

The new features include but are not limited to:
    *full color touch display
    *web browsing
*voice that tells u how many hours u have left on ur 11 and 14
    *full 7 day recap
    *truck diagnostic tools
*this qualcomm will not allow you to view it while the vehicle is in motion. Unless u are a team truck.
    *slide out full keyboard
And much much more that I didn't even have time to go thru.

And no it doesn't have GPS

You can view this pritty little money maker at the WVC terminal in the far right safety window.

All in all it looks like a pritty good way for us to work. And as far as the web browser goes I don't know any details about that, who knows knowing central they're gonna charge for using it.

Anywho ya'll stay safe out there hope ya like the pics.

FYI 80 is closed at donner west bound accidents.
