Simple fix. Solution: When you're driving during light rain or drizzle and would like to continue using your cruise control, instead of turning on your wipers, push and release the button that activates your window washers. This will cause your wipers to swipe once without deactivating your cruise.

This will cause your wipers to swipe once without deactivating your cruise. You can do this an unlimited number of times as frequently as necessary without using any washer fluid..

I use that trick, but for a different reason.

My '23 Cascadia does not turn off the cruise when wipers are used, but the intermittent settings are worthless for the most part.
They are not a set interval, but variable. And not a reliable variable to say the least.
There could be a very fine mist coming in, and they will turn up to the highest speed, and sometimes when there are larger droplets it barely swipes.
There are 2 intermittent switch settings, for some reason. The second just seems to swipe more often at times.
It seems to speed up and down at random.

So when I just need a swipe every so often I use your method.

In a Cascadia, with wipers in the off position, turn them on to low, then off, wait how long you want the low setting to swipe., up to 25secs, then turn them to low again. They will swipe at that speed.
