How long does time out last?

 

depends on where you are, WM landfills were 1 hour for under 10k over and 3 hours for over 10k overweight. Could of changed in the years since I’ve done any of that

 

You’re right. Even in the 5 years around KC I been end dumping I’ve seen that change. Used to it was “if you wanna take it, we’ll print it.” Now 85,500 does not mean 85,520. Some quarries are even requiring to see the cab card to make sure you’re legally tagged for it. They’re really taking the fun out of everything.

 

Used to do a lot of light weight stone out of Albany NY area and they required overweight permits for each trailer you went in with, since NY marries truck/trailers on permits.

ex: you and I both have a standard tandem tractor and Tri axle trailer permitted for 107k, you break down, so after I dump my load, I come back to grab yours so we can get the work done, because I don’t have a permit for YOUR trailer, I’m now 27k over weight. of course, each trailer costs money to add…

 

Around here they measure your truck, and will only let you out with what the bridge law chart says you can haul.

 

That’s ####ty but sounds about right, some companies are just shady. What area was this in?
