Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

I have been seeing that on the reefer side with meat loads. Bottom feeder brokerages.

 

It’s not just the miles but the liability of a load claim. I hear ya. But some guy will take it for 500, I’m sure.

 

If it was a same day straight through easy run, then sure, $500 can work. This was a GM parts run, you never know for sure how much time you gonna spend at shipping or receiving , then you gotta be empty on Saturday morning and hold the freight till Monday. It's definitely not worth it to deal with all that for $500

 

Past couple weeks we’ve seen a LOT of “bidding” now. Literally they post the load with no rate and are taking bids on the job or getting quotes for the customer. GTFO with that BS.

 

And that's why everyone should bid it at a price they can make money on, not a price that will win the load.

Looks like fed ex is doing driver furloughs again . Times are getting tough for some that’s for sure..

 

I think some office folks are getting laid off as well.
