Didnt u just get that motor rebuilt from bad head gasket? I've read from some wrench's that if u were pushing coolant all that extra pressure takes out the egr cooler... so if u don't replace it while getting rebuild it will go out very soon after...

Do these work with DD15s? -
Must not have showed any sign of failure at that time, as I paid extra for them to replace what they could find while it was down.
But I’ve found so many loose or and missing bolts/nuts from where they put it back together leaves me to believe they didn’t work too hard on it.Last edited: Feb 4, 2023

Best DPF Cleaner Near You. DPF Alternatives
It's usually a 24 hour turnaround, and last time it cost me $400. I've taken the DOC and DPF to be cleaned in Colorado, and the SCR box to be cleaned in Florida. I'm happy with both locations. You're going to need new gaskets, and it's recommended to get new clamps as well.
This was for a Volvo engine. Detroit one-box I would call and ask ahead.D.Tibbitt and Phoenix Heavy Haul Thank this. -

That’s just cleaning.
also on top of that few people complained it doesn’t work for their vehicles. But the one I had worked on mine which is a 2013 Cascadia Dd15 and the one my friend has also worked.
So buyer be ware.Last edited: Feb 5, 2023

I’m hoping I won’t need it for a while. However I’m pretty handy with a wrench. Heck you gotta be with these rates lol

Best to do 2-3 regens and see how it goes. But DPF I recommend cleaning every 100k

Forgot to mention. Since you had fluid in the egr line, I would also clean the Delta P sensor if you have one on your truck. This is super important.

If you do decide you need a DPF job...
I recommend taking your old ones to the dealer and swapping them for a pair of remans, assuming your old ones are not cracked. It costs more, but by doing that you get good filters and avoid the risk of one or both of them cracking during cleaning. And it's quicker since it's just a trip to the parts counter. Don't forget to record the serial numbers before you install them. You have to enter them in the ECM when you reset the DPF mileage counter. If you don't do that the cel will come on when the counter runs out.
Buy a box of 1/4-20 clip nuts (Dorman 70-523 - O'reilly sells them) and 3/4 inch 1/4-20 flanged hex head cap screws (Dorman 960-007). Get them in advance so you won't have to go looking for them. Every single cap screw on the cover of my one box broke taking them off. Every last one!!! The factory doesn't use anti-seize and they just weld themselves to the clip nuts. You will also want to order some nickel based anti-seize from Amazon. I don't think the copper based anti-seize can handle the heat.Oxbow, Phoenix Heavy Haul and LoneRanger Thank this.
