i know it's all a hassle but it's your credit rating your fighting for. don't just pass mail to one company. send multiple complaints. and CERTIFIED TO THE ONE YOUR FIGHTING. that way you have a signature backing up your claim that letters were sent.

congress imposed laws. but the consumer still gets screwed.

just throwing in another $.02. i'm sure a lot of people aren't aware how to fight a debt.

there's also the statue of limitations. 7 years it stays on your credit report. and that 7 years STARTS WITH LAST PAYMENT MADE. so if you decide to make a payment after 6 years. your facing 13 years total. (this correct - and well stated)

don't be tricked by collections from a old account saying you will be settled by making half payment. and everything will be dismissed. IT'S A TRAP TO EXTEND THAT 7 YEARS. (not true - paying a settlement is better than not paying at all. It doesnt extend anything related to being reported to the CBR. However, it does help in changing your score to the positive. But also know - if you pay a settlement and the creditor can require a 1099 that means you have to claim the difference as income)

there's also a statue of limitations PER STATE. in utah. they have no right to collect after 6 years ON A SIGNED CONTRACT. 3 years on a verbal or written contract. it's different for every state. in hawaii. it's 10 years. even though it's gone from your credit after 7 years. (again not true - they have the right to collect - they just can not litigate the debt after the SOL have expired)

you'll also have unexplained inquiries on your credit. from collections getting passed around left and right. one collection could ring up as much as 50 inquiries by the time that baby is deleted in 7 years.

Jess... I know you're not knocking the upgradees. Unfortunately the training process can't weed out all the incompetent drivers. And logistically there is no way that every upgrade can get a Volvo. But, if they're gonna give someone the keys to a W9 they should at least road test in one first, especially if they didn't train in one.

I love this W9, but it's like being in a relationship, lots of compromise, total commitment, and sometimes you got to stroke her the right way to get what you want out of her. Treat her wrong and...

Me and my W9 are in an open relationship. I told her if a sleek prostar came knocking on my door then we may have to part ways.

I trained in a W9 and got a volvo. Almost had a prostar until someone wanted to least it the day I was going to get it.

It is tight as heck too. When I was on my dedicated run it was my 99 on that end. Was in there several times a week.
The one in Springfield is HUGE. No issues at all with that one.
I would spend my time getting unloaded in Independence guiding other trucks into holes. I had too many hit walls and block me in with blown steer tires, busted fuel tanks etc.

Well I told Central today that I'm resigning. With the low pay and family issues, I can't be OTR anymore. They are looking for a load for me to get the truck to a terminal. They said they'll foot the bill to send me back if I do that. I hope they keep their word on that or else I'll be looking for a ride from someone heading my direction because I don't have the money for a bus/plane ticket. Time to go get the truck cleaned out!

All in all it looks like a pritty good way for us to work. And as far as the web browser goes I don't know any details about that, who knows knowing central they're gonna charge for using it.

get the mega miles you talked about in your last post 650 ahhhhhhh in need some sleep I'm tired just thinkn about it LOL.

Only took 12 hours to get a B service Might as well fit in a 34 now. Also met a lurker on the forum who recognized my buzzard and armadillo on the dash.

Now I'm parked next to a purty red prostar... sigh.
