2020 T680,X15 and auto trans. Seems like the air compressor comes on a lot. We have checked for air leaks and can't find anything. When I go to the truck in the morning I still have most of the air pressure but going down the road it will come on and I have not pressed the brakes or used air at all. Does the automatic transmission use a lot of air to shift?? Anyone have an idea
Air compressor runs alot

Fan clutch or possibly a turbo actuator can leak and you would never hear it over the engine noise.
-
Could also be brake chamber or lines. Chock the wheels and release the parking brake, then go spray the brake chambers and lines.

What is the pressure on your primary and secondary gauges when the compressor cuts back on?

Signal line from air tank to compressor has a slow leak is my guess .. does gauge actually drop 20 psi or so when compressor cycles ?? If not check out signal line.

If you are only losing air from the supply reservoir “wet tank”, it can also be the unloader pistons in the air compressor, the delivery check valve in the air dryer, or the purge valve in the air dryer.
