This isn’t excusing their attitude toward you on the phone and such, but you have to find out if weekly miles are down across the board or just you. It’s a different world out here right now than it was 8 months ago when you had your accident. It’s very possible that miles are down fleetwide right now, especially if your company is getting brokered loads. The volume of freight simply isn’t what it used to be.

I would also say that the company is probably a little nervous about how your claim is going to play out. Between the claim and also the deal with your personal property they probably view you as a thorn in their side now. If you can find out if they are shorting you on miles for sure then that would be proof they’re squeezing you out, along with being rude to you. It sucks but you probably just have to stick it out and put up with them until your claim is settled.

You can always straight up ask someone higher up if they are in fact squeezing you out. Don’t expect them to say yes, but it will put them on notice

They’re starving you out, as has been mentioned. Perhaps with an eye toward sabotaging your comp case… I’d get some legal advice regarding what looks and smells like constructive dismissal/retaliation following a comp case. Definitely do not just quit without such advice as it may derail the comp case entirely.

Not sure how much worse the devil you don't know could be.

    3. Driver facing cameras. Not just into the cab, into your nose. This new camera is sitting on the dash directly in front of me watching my every move. I was recently written up for picking up my phone to read a text from dispatch after telling them I would have to pick up my phone if I am sent a text while driving because my headset was dead after sitting for 8 months in a storage closet while I was recovering from being shot. Even warning them beforehand that I would have to pick up my phone to use it if they called or texted me while I was driving and I had no place to pull over. So they manage to text me on a two lane road in rural south GA. Great.

Sorry, but is totally on you.
You do not HAVE TO pick up that phone while driving.
You can wait, and they can wait, for you to pull over in a safe spot.

Don't blame everything on something that happened because you were shot. That is old news.
You know the rules. There is a camera watching your every move and you better not use the phone while driving.
If you have to live with it, then make them live with it as well.

I would say ‘move on’. Generally speaking anytime an employee has a ‘major health event’, either illness(cancer, stroke, cardiac, etc), in your case a shooting and recovery time, an accident w/injury, after the employee returns to ‘full-time status’, that employer wants you gone.
They fear years of follow up care that will be a strain on the company health insurance ‘pool’.
