    So I'm rewiring my ranger rci 39 hp plus. As its still using factory power and causing interference. So gonna run it down to batteries.
    Looking to upgrade my single CB antenna also as I'm running just a new firestick. What cb antenna would you recommend for a T680?

    I drove a 2006 378 Peterbilt for over 10 years, and I had a Hustler FG27S 4ft antenna on it. It's a very tough antenna. The HQ27 is 55 inches tall. Another great steel mobile antenna. I believe it's rated for 250 watts.

    Well go get quality cable, put proper ends on it.

    These are Chinese made cables that are marginal.

    Beldon is good, go to DX engineering and order it by the foot. They have a lot of different types to chose from. They have Time Microwave and DX engineering branded 8X for 65¢ a foot, which will work.

    The reason I say which is because you have interference (which you didn't explain what it was) and coax has something to do with the interference. Coax being a couple years old should just be changed out anyway, it is a cheap thing to rule out for any issues.

    I think It's a ground issue to be honest. Some of my dash switch back lights go off when keying up and getting a lot of background noise so my squelch is like 1/4 atm lol
