Thanks

Never had any resistance when I schedule time off. I've even had some serious deadhead miles home when I tell them I have an important appointment.nredfor88, bzinger, Rahat and 1 other person Thank this.

Schedule your appointment for your last day of hometime so if they get you home a few days late you can still make it, hopefully.

1st Question:
Doesn't Matter.
There's a very low probability that any MEDICAL appt will "fall within your home time". Same with, for example, any Court date.

2nd Question:
I've NEVER heard of Sick Pay except possibly in Union Contracts.
IF/WHEN You get sick, whether at home or O.T.R., get it treated as best you can and ONLY DRIVE WHEN YOU FEEL YOU CAN SAFELY DO SO.
Swift Knight has A LOT OF EQUIPMENT so swapping Loads or Trailers isn't a problem.
