Cut em some slack. Some of the members on here just make jokes and say crazy ish. Reason being, do you know how many times we've seen a post like yours? I'm not taking issue with it but some of the members do. They will probably say you should have done research blah blah blah, but at least now you know. Nonetheless, I hope you win in court.Crude Truckin', Another Canadian driver, Msangel007 and 4 others Thank this.

Ya ever get the feeling that there's a reason why these guys turn to 1099 companies?
Sketchy is as Sketchy does.Crude Truckin', Another Canadian driver, Coover and 3 others Thank this. -
"Sorry boss, truck does no move till I get a rate con"
"No touch freight, hire lumpers boss"
If you've been driving for three years you should have known better.
As you can see, the word you need to learn is, "no".
Go back to company driver, you won't have to deal with the above.Last edited: Feb 26, 2023
Crude Truckin', Another Canadian driver, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
Just because people don't agree with you or criticize your actions doesn't mean their advice is bad. In their own way they're trying to help you and you need to realize that.
When a lot of different people all say basically the same thing you need to listen to them
You came here seeking help and advice. You've been given both. You can deal with the way it's presented or you can find another forum...your choice entirely.Crude Truckin', Another Canadian driver, 88 Alpha and 3 others Thank this. -
You hate humans? How do you feel about Klingonns? Or Ferengi? Cardassians?
Crude Truckin', Another Canadian driver, Veteran driver and 3 others Thank this. -
You’re overthinking it.

Most people of any level of experience and common sense will NEVER need a solution to a problem we will never have. I would love to at least get your take on what was SO desirable about this "job" that made to toss off all others to leap at the chance to work for free, have all the responsibilities and none of the protections of a real position at a real company? Drama? No no no.. this is called ridicule.. get it right.Last edited: Feb 26, 2023
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Don't take a vote on that...
No, not at all, if fact you should cruise through the site and read on the number of "drivers" who have been taken JUST like you and have posts that are pretty much copy and past and almost word for word of your posts.Well, to be sure, I am an old white man. Not sure what the hell that has to do with you falling for a con that a human regardless of color, creed, sex, or political party would see right through.
Russians (Eastern Europeans) come here and do this because as PT Barnum stated people like you are born every minute. Right now your only use here is to be the example of what NOT to do when trying to gain employment. What the "russians" did to you was 100% legal and more and more people get screwed because the powers that be are also making money off people... Its your right to fail in a system that is designed to do exactly that.
The vast majority of drivers do not worry about rates.. part of the con job that you people fall for is citing ridiculous rates combined usually with unobtainable mileages.
none of the comments I saw have been "nasty".. they may seem that way to you, but right now, you have a long road ahead to just get back to a starting point... My advice? Go find a real job and start working back to a point where you can not feel like you have made a fatal career choice.. The only thing you should be looking back in is a mirror.. .on a truck.. that you're getting paid a real paycheck to driveLast edited: Feb 26, 2023
