I left the company driver game due to the cams looking at me and the microphones and the computers and the safety doofus calling me into his office criticizing my following distance and I’m like dude that video is rush hour traffic in Orlando you twerp.

I started out Uber driver and post mates driver, delivering drunks their liquor mostly, now I’m running my own freight, my own trucks, small enough to skirt the DOT, sleeping in my own bed most nights, taking only the work I want. It’s not always easy, but it beats driving 40 tons while having a baby monitor on me at all times.

Making more money than as a company driver even after expenses.

So don’t believe you can only be a Walmart greeter or fast food worker. That’s nonsense. If you can work a smart phone and watch a butt ton of YouTube videos to learn the ropes and have a good vehicle that you don’t care how many miles you put on it then I assure you there are many ways to escape the industry. Even without a good vehicle there are options like gig apps for dog sitting and task rabbit where you can set your own price for your particular services.
