I bought a Columbia from TAG last year. I had absolutely no problem registering it and the title work was fine.
The issue I just caught is that the Freightliner VIN tag doesn't show the RAWR and the GVWR is only 12,000 lbs, since the only axle it came from factory with was the 12,000 lb front axle.
This all came to light when a guy tried to get his CDL in the truck and the examiner said he couldn't use it.
I can not find any other tags on the truck that show anything different.
I've got calls in to TAG but in the meantime I figured someone else has to have run into this situation.

I'm afraid that the truck was ordered by an individual and he completed the build. Never even considered that until now.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
That's how it used to be before the emissions avoidance industry started.

I'm kind of at that point and was actually looking for those tags. I researched NTEA documents and it seems there isn't as much oversight as I thought. Waiting on Lonestar to get back to me though.Vampire Thanks this. -
You mean bankruptcy and downtime avoidance industry.

Hecho in Mexico. Another reason to have gotten the PACCAR built in Ohio.

Has nothing to do with being a glider. Truck is great, just needed to see if anyone had faced the issue of getting a non-rolling glider.
Think we have it figured out and the missing paperwork has been found.
Thanks to those who helped. -
get the axle model numbers if you can to identify the drives and keep that documentation on hand. You won't get hassled if you are under the nominal weight limt.
