They any good? I was considering Oakley, but then I saw their furthest terminal west is Laredo, and that I-35 corridor in TX is blah at best. Irt has a terminal in Visalia and another in WA so you get out of that midwest/ east coast monotony.

We are paid by the mile. Indian River has raised the cents per mile two or three different times since I started working here in December of 2016. There are also separate earnings for things such as detention time, layovers, border crossing pay for drivers who go into Canada, etc.

Recruiting (and possibly the company website) can tell you what those current rates are as of right now. On page 69 (February 12, 2023) I explained my reasons for choosing not to post that on the forum. What I will say, is I average 3,000 miles per week and have since the time I hired on. Some weeks are 2,800 miles, some are 3,500 miles, but it averages out to 3,000 miles per week when viewing things on a monthly perspective.

I’m an OTR driver and primarily do long hauls. Other drivers do shorter hauls but with the additional pay for crossing into Canada and such, they still do just as well if not better. If you’re just a run of the mill OTR driver like me, I would take the cpm that recruiting tells you and multiply it by 3,000 miles in order to have a good idea on what you will earn on a weekly basis.

    Hope it helps.

    3000 X .60 cpm = $1800

    But....

Short run loads under 250 miles are paid by percentage which currently stands at 24%. There are some guys who run a dedicated customer account which pays percentage and they are exceeding the $1800 posted above while only running 1500ish miles in a week.

Basically, it's hard to give an accurate average weekly pay because there are more factors involved than simple CPM.

They're pay is low because it's a family run business but the people work in the office are nice also it's a laid back company from what I heard

Thanks for all the reply’s. Gives me a pretty good picture of what the pay is like. I’m just waiting on a recruiter to call back.
