So much for contract freight security..

North Carolina trucking company to shut down after top customer pulls out

 

I’m not the “sky’s falling” type, but I’m thinking that over the next few months there will be a cleansing.

 

Its the only way to clear out the excess capacity. I wonder how many of those duck tape special outfits are going to fold up too.

 

60+ salaries to pay off of 140 drivers.

Where's the beef???

 

Unfortunately unless drivers retire from trucking capacity isn’t going to change. They’ll find someone else’s truck to drive.

Making my way home now for a couple weeks off. Been fortunate enough to have found decent freight the last couple months out. However now looking ahead on the load boards it’s looking really grim.

Feel bad for the o/o’s trying to support their families right now.

 

I cant believe i missed that, over 30% admin? Maybe if they put a few of the safety weinies and "driver managers" to work they couldve made it through.

 

Where's that "driver shortage" when you need it.
