Since i hired in i've been in RAT. Seems to me that you just kinda move areas ever so often.... will do a little east coast, then run from PA to Chicago. Then run like chicago to AL. but it seems like you just go back and fourth for a week... kinda north to south or east to west. Its not been bad. My dispatcher told me that they mostly use the divs. to help you get home on the weekends, and that it really has no effect on where you run during the week. or at least for the area we live in.

I don't know...the miles have been good but the home time has sucked. I'm not one to complain about home time (I know, I just did...but don't do it often), but it would seem that since I'm running closer to home I should get there more.

If I'm gonna stay out 3-4 weeks (which I don't mind if the $$$ is right)...Its a lot easier on my nerves and gives me less gray hair to do it where there are some wide open spaces and not a wall to wall F##$!&% traffic jam (I95 anywhere north of Richmond)

Its been a long day...I'm too grumpy to think about it. Maybe its not that bad in the RAT division, time might tell...but this is not the way a person should find out that he has been put there.

I noticed when things changed...but I didn't know about the Qualcomm messages (RA and US), thank you guys for educating me.

Goin to bed...pissed off, tired, aggravated, and feeling a little bit like a number without a name. (perfect end to a perfect day)

They told us that it did not dictate where you would be running, but the area that you are hired out of. At least that is what they said.

When I was with them I had a buddy that was in the rat div. He ran pretty much like I did and I was in the US div.

Oh...I missed that part of the conversation somehow :biggrin_2559:

And...I was having "one of those days" the other day. I hope I didn't come across as being too much of an A-hole over the whole RAT deal.

I'm sure its not all that bad...just not what I signed on for is all.

And the reason my routes changed is just what I said it was...new hires (and I don't mean that in a bad way...glad to have you guys as co-workers), shuffling everybody in place...and I get moved around to fill in the gaps.

You are allowed to be grumpy! It is your God Given Right! I think it is also in the truckers code book!:biggrin_2559:

I am all ready to roll in the morning. Heading to Humboldt Kansas to deliver our load of fire brick!

    Keep Safe!
