My response usually annoys the person asking the questions.
"You never listened when I was employed, what have you done that makes me think you will listen now?"

But that's why I do the exit interview. It's a chance to return some of the annoyance that caused me to quit.

 

Yeah, I had an exit interview a few years ago. A VP was asking me about why I was leaving, I told him of the issues we discussed AT EVERY MONTHLY MEETING, for years, that weren't being addressed.

He wrote all this down, like it was news to him.....

and he probably never brought them up again...Have done the same in exit interviews.
