Ok, you clearly think your daddy wouldnt make this stuff up, so I guess it happened exactly like you said.

I guess your daddy should file a complaint with the Minnesota State Patrol for not performing their primary function of keeping the roads safe to travel on since they allowed 3 trucks to block a major interstate for 12 hours without bothering to send someone out to find out why. Or the Clay co sheriffs office also for that matter.
Fed Ex freight are the only ones that are owned by Fed Ex. The rest of them are all contractors. And Fed Ex freight dont go out in bad weather either.

    gokiddogo Thanks this.

Oh, they run out here. Everytime it snows out here, you see Amazon, conway and fed ex freight in the ditch looking stupid. I am so sick of seeing this. This winter has been really bad. Everytime I see flipped over truck, I tell myself I am quiting.
If OP had pictures and video, and the road wasnt actually closed by dot where troopers would had it blocked off. I would persue civil matter lawsuit against the driver who was illegaly parked.

Amazon are contractors. Like I said Fed Ex (except Fed Ex Freight) are all contractors. In fact most Amazon guys are not even US citicens. I know at Conway they used to send us out (I only worked there 6 weeks and never had to run in bad weather), but I dont know if XPO does since they bought it. I dont get out of Minnesota/Wisconsin much anymore :) Self imposed semi-retirement.

Basically you can get a cash severance from the company that let you go
They have to report the incident - call up the State police and get your police report. The last thing you need is a hit and run and be charged. The company does not care about you. Once you have a hit and run - you will have to post a bond - hire a lawyer -damages that could exceed $50k - just a tow bill - for a day like that is $7k for a few miles on a day like that. For a RGN on a snowy day it can be $50k for a tow! Just as an example
But the insurance adjuster is prolly getting all the video information from the tow truck driver - or from the calls that day. You don’t want to be involved in all that. Cover your butt because the company that fired you will not , when it all comes down.
The adjuster will not let this go - trust me - they will find you and you do not want to be dealing with it on your own.
Get the company insurance adjuster involved - you also suffered from the impact - a 80k lb vehicle hitting at 25mph - leaves a concussion on your brain - even if you don’t realize it
Tell your dad not to delay - visit the doctors and follow it up
