Gold Coast Hinterland, Qld Australia. I'd say 60+% of trucks on out roads are cab overs.

Though its a DAF it has a lot of KW parts in it. Makes sense for me as the dealer is just down the road so its easy. They are also fair. Like it or not I'd rather the Paccar motor over a Cummins also, in my experience the big C stand for something else.

What I'd really like is a new K220 with a paccar motor as a slimline, bit like this just 34 years newer. I'm dreaming though as the KW doesn't have the ride comfort, turning circle, or sophistication so to speak. The twisty tight crappy roads I drive unfortunately the KW will kill me. Can't get it in the spec I'd prefer also.

To me though, this K124 is premium porn

Why is it the spoke wheels or “Daytons” in the U.S. look just right and sexxxy on a down under truck but not on ours. Lol!

dunno, we call them star or spider hubs as well. Not sure what year but everything went to alloy 10 stud. Older tracks and trailers are still legal run original equipment. Some say they are unsafe, but that all depends on the muppet fitting the wheel, period.

The CF rig was similar to the the first cabover I drove, not my picture but the same year rig. The Frito Lay was the best cabover I have driven, very little doghouse and the ride was as good as a hood. Bad picture but it was the 90’s and a disposable camera. 0FBDBA3D-EED2-4022-B1D5-EBCA846364B5.png 5DB34BDD-E363-419D-9DC5-56ECB7BAD1BB.png

Frito Lay down here was still running a few of those up to 2010-12 time frame. Then they all went down to old Mex.

Spring suspension and no power steering, but loaded they were a decent riding rig. Not for todays standards, but for the times they rode ok.

Frito Lay had a cabover Freightliner team truck at a terminal near me that I drove one day when my rig broke down. It really rode very well also.

Whats everybody's opinion on ntc 290 small cam changed to nta 400 small cam. As of yet I don't know what injectors or pistons is in it yet. I am asking about dependability and reliability as in keep it and rebuild it when I find out condition of it or find another motor. I drove it recently has really good power starts right up. opinions please thanks
