While that may be true, I am just pointing out Denny's has a track record of similar fires. If that is a method PFJ is using, why didn't they burn down Effingham, IL instead of just closing the Denny's?

As far as Clive, IA, I heard the only reason that one did not burn to the ground is firefighters happened to be nearby.

It’s not Denny’s doing it..its the haslam family who owns Pfj..they don’t like the sit down restaurants in their locations..

Looks like a good place to park a few Mexican food trucks!

That place was decent before Peelot bought it. I remember when the restraunt was Thads. Not bad food and was packed most of the time. After peelot took it over, it became a dump.

Sad thing is, many drivers today have no clue as to what it used to be like. Thads was good, many locals would go in there. Funny to see how trucking has changed from the mid 90's when I started to what it is now.

All Flying J truck stops had really good restaurants before the Pilot takeover. I remember the carving stations next to the buffet counters. Great food.
