Size of signs will be more important than quantity, if you think its big enough, double it, and it MAY be the right size

Great input and thank you!! They will be widening HWY90 but who knows when that will happen. Could be 12 months or 12 years. We're designing the driveway with the assumption it will happen while we operate the lot so we don't have to relocate the driveway. Let me make a few edits / revisions and come back with a revised site plan. Thank you!!!

Well I'm happy to announce we finally broke ground earlier this month! I've been spending time going through the fine details on the showers, lounge layout, amenities, fixtures etc. Which brings me to my next question.
    1. Do the truck stops currently offer shampoo and body wash dispensers in the showers or do you typically bring your own soap? We will offer towels and a towel bin to collect dirty towels. We will have a staffed cleaning crew as well.
    2. When doing laundry, do you typically bring your own laundry detergent or do you purchase that through a coin operated soap dispenser?

Also a few others things to note, showers are free, laundry is free, free wifi and USB charging stations with a lounge and TV's.

I used my own soap and shampoo. All the mega stops have dispensers, but mom and pops usually don't. I had a single towel just in case, but there were always towels available.

I can't really answer this one. I would bring enough clothes for thirty days, and put dirty clothes in a black trash bag to wash at home. If I stayed out longer, I'd just buy more clothes.

    Wow! Nice.

It’s a mix on the soap. Some have dispensers, some offer small bar soap like a hotel, some offer none. I always have soap or body wash with me just in case.

When I have to do laundry on the road I use my own detergent.

I only see one set of laundry machines. If you're going to allow drivers to do their laundry for free then you should probably have a second set of machines for your staff to use to wash the provided towels.

Most of the time, there is a deposit on towels/showers so that the driver returns the towel (think hotel towel theft), so an open towel bin without controlled return, is asking for a in house cost that wil become exorbitant.
The others have answered most off the questions. Having an option to buy the laundry detergents from a dispenser is welcomed, but if the machine empties, or doesn't supply product for the money, it can make some driver irate. If you have an in store option, just stock some for purchase. I used to carry my own dryer sheets, because of allergy, and would pick up detergent in store because carrying a liquid or powder detergent is an accident waiting to happen in a truck. I used to carry the sheets that were both detergent and fabric softener, but they stopped making those for some reason. They were perfect for OTR drivers. No liquid or powders to spill.

When you first started this thread, I had assumed this was long term parking only. But now I'm curious, is this a short term option in a big metro area?
