Has anyone who owns a International truck had a Love's shop plug into your truck per Navistar without your knowledge? Apparently they are gathering info for Navistar what information I don't know. Just keep your keys in your pocket.

What were they suppose to be doing to your truck? They may have been connecting to Navistar to access reference materials.
-
Why would you even worry about this, though? What information exactly could they even gather for Navistar? Is your truck still under warranty, worried about something you did voiding it?
-
Love's shops are advertising that they are now doing some warranty work for Navistar. Whether this is good or bad, who knows.

If they are as bad at doing that as they are installing leveling valves on trailers, it is surely bad news. Had to go to 5 different Loves shops to have a leveling valve the first one installed properly connected so it was not draining air constantly. I don't mean constantly as in every few seconds. I mean literally they hooked it up and if you had air on the trailer it was leaking from the valve. They kept saying it was normal, sitting on level ground to leak air even with no load.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Yes, I told them after the fact don’t plug into my truck with out my knowledge again. I was just in there for a filter change and lube job. Absolutely zero reason to plug into my data portD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

My last trip to Speedco cost THEM $12,000.
But, check it out. They wouldn't reimburse the $360 'repair' that caused the problem to begin with.
Whateverhomeskillet Thanks this. -
Navistar is owned by VW now. Because of their diesel debacle it wouldn’t surprise me if they are trying to gather up info to see if any of engines have been deleted or are having emissions related codes.

Why ever have a shop do something that simple. 2 cresent wrenches is all you need to change a leveling valve.. A torx bit if needing to flip the valve around because it's backwards. I wouldn't trust a loves shop to even look at my truck let alone put a wrench to it.

They reimbursed me the $569 repair bill after I had a p.m. service done at the Joplin facility… Within two weeks I had a check in the mail
