I believe it's like a credit reporting agency. You dispute the info, DAC has to submit to the company and if they can't validate the info, it is removed. But companies lie about a lot of things and all they have to do is say "yes, this is true. But DAC will put that you are disputing the info, while it's being verified. Good luck.

USIS is now called Hireright . If you have access to a computer go to hireright.com & fill out a request form for dac report . Takes about 6 days to recieve copy in mail . If any false info on there go back to website & file a dispute . This takes thirty days from date of dispute to complete . If no access to computer , customer service # is 1-800-381-0654 . Good luck

I filed two appeals on my DAC and the people didn't respond in the time frame (30 days). It's at the 60 day mark now and I am awaiting a new DAC report in the mail. The reps at HireRight told me the information on me was "supressed" by them on the companies I filed the complaints on. One is no longer operating and the other still is and it's a major chunk of my work history last three years. When DAC supresses information how does that work. Do they leave the work history or remove everything? Need to know bad because if you put in an application that doesn't match DAC you can't get hired. Thanks in advance.

Since its the same as a credit report pretty much, I think this in your favor if I'm reading it right. below is what they say of credit...
So, your work history will still be there from these trucking companies.. but the negs for the biggest part should be gone. Not 100% but thats how it sounds to me, if HireRight suppressed them.
I would wait for others opinions on this topic or your new DAC to come back before I rushed out and put in any applications thou.Last edited: Mar 9, 2010

Thanks Roughhouse. My problem was with dates of employment. It was 16 months I worked there and they reported 6 with some negitive stuff. I have never had to do this stuff before and will know something this week hopefully.

Hello,
Hope someone can answer a couple of questions. I have been driving about 2 yrs. When I first got started I had a few problems. There were 2 incidents that I now know I should never have reported, but as a newbie, didn't know any better. At any rate, both were not preventable, were not my fault and I hired DACFix to help me dispute the incidents. The company evidently did not respond and both were changed to not preventable.
Then, several months later, I get a letter telling me that the company now says the incidents have been verified as preventable and they are being place on the DAC to that effect.
I was told that if a company does not respond within 30 days, the info comes off or would be changed to what I had stated in my dispute. NO ONE mentioned that the company could come back and change it.
I am with a great company who actually does not try to screw the drivers (unlike the previous company) and doing very well. What does this change mean to me? What can I do about it?

it means you wasted your money on dacfix

US Investigations Services, Inc is actually the name of USIS.
And yes they do like to come off as a governmental agency when they are in fact nothing more than a private corporation with a monopoly on the market of providing driver information to the trucking industry. It is a disgrace that this one corporation hold the fate of so many drivers in its hands with their often inaccurate information.
