Waiting on New Trucks thread.

“If a man is going to be broke, he might as well go broke sitting still" famous words last said in 1974 and will probably be repeated in 2023. We need one more river rat and #### will hit the fan pretty quickly.

 

Exactly..A lot of people Don't comprehend The fact of,

if you're working Too cheap. The more Work you do, The More Money you lose,,

 

It's a real struggle to get a call back from the local Peterbilt dealer when your truck is done getting worked on. The people I pull for have outward-facing cameras and gps in their company trucks, and they figure out if their truck is done getting worked on by where it is sitting in the parking lot and looking at camera footage. I hate being a bother and calling constantly too, but if a person doesn't, it is really hard to know when a truck will be done.

 

Yep it is pretty nice having camera system on the truck that can be viewed anywhere. I have a nice set up and anytime I want to check out what the truck is doing at the shop I log in and take a peak. I know when it is done or in the shop most of the time before dealer does.

 

Get a cellphone or a tablet, share location with yourself via Google maps and leave it in the truck. When you check on it, you will be able to see if your truck is inside the shop or at the parking lot

 

There’s camera video and sound from a dash cam of a truck in a service bay and the manager and tech talking about how they screwed up the repair……

Have it set up with a SIM card to see all live auction and have 2 TB hard drive and can download anything from Web.

 

I got a migraine just thinking of that wiring……

 

Do you have that system hardwired into the truck? Or is it one of those cigar plugs?
