Well, I've almost made it a full two years trying out this new career thing. Got my next insurance bill in the mail the other day. $9864. 14k$ first year, 12k$ last year. I also added general liability last year. Pretty happy with it.
I'm pretty much the same as you. $9kish at 5 years in. 8 year old paid-for equipment. Progressive. It went up one year a few years back but has been trending down a couple grand a year on average. I pay in full once a year though. That saves me over a grand a year. It may be almost two grand, can't remember but it's a huge discount.
My second year is about the same as the first even with switching from Progressive to Great West. Maybe third year will be better.
Mine was $9200 last year. I raised my values mid year. Payment went up less than $100. Renewal this year was $11,200. Going to get a quote for the old values. Might need to switch Agents. I’ve been with them for 10 years. They claim it’s less than Progressive and others. I guess I need to Shop around. Just paid 20% down plus March payment. About $3200. I hate that big annual bill. I like the break in payments though.
They quoted me Great west. It was higher. I can’t help wondering if my Agents being honest. Been dealing with them for 23 years on cars and homeowners, before getting Northland through them.
