You...you haven't read the remainder of the posts i can tell. I'm disputing it which I will win because this is baseless. I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever heard of anyone being put in this situation.

Did you see how no one has piped up about their story about someone they know getting forced into this ...well let's say GreyArea? Because it doesn't happen.

Obviously, I don't go around spewing any element of this story without the anonymity of the internet regardless of whether I know it to be true. My burden to bear and all that.

Yes, I am the villain or whatever. This is not the point of this thread.

...But then again, I don't know what I was expecting. I have read these forums before after all.

Noone said you were the villian, but drugs in a CMV is the responsibility of the driver, thats the way the law works. Just because its on someone elses person doesnt relieve you from responsibility.

Welcome to the world of trucking, everything that goes wrong is automatically the fault of the driver.

So what action am i supposed to take in that situation? It doesn't hold up; I can't be held responsible for the actions of another adult acting on behalf of the company. I don't have authority to go through this person's belongings no less his person to ensure that he doesn't have illegal drugs on his person. The boss could, but I cannot. Hence company's responsibility to properly vet their employees.

I dont think you can do anythimg. You are making the mistake of thinking laws are supposed to make sense, but thats not how it works. While you are in control of the vehicle you are responsible for everything that happens in the vehicle.

I think you should keep the job/get another you don't need a cdl for and aren't subject to drug testing and smoke a joint before bed. And a couple beers.

It takes 24 months for this to fall off your PSP record so you need to find a carrier who doesn't use it for the next 2 years.

The company didnt fire him, if its timed out after 2 years then stay put and pay more attention to who you let in the truck.
