A huge super secret conspiracy!!! Some people wear their tinfoil hats a bit too tight.

unfortunately I didn’t have a choice after my 21 389 disappeared.
Basically dealers get the build slots awarded to them, then the dealer specs the unit. I’ve got the dealer that I use going to try getting a slot for a 389x.
Not sure how far out the slots are awarded but I was told that the first half of this year was already sold out.
If you do have interest in one I can message you a contact. If you can get a slot early enough then you’ll be able to change the specs to what you want. Color is about the only change you can make if it’s too close to build day.
Rumor is that there will be a aftermarket dash available at some point to replace the digital screen.. I can only hope! -
I'm about 90%+ sold on exiting the industry from the perspective of driving and owning. It's a real mental battle, letting it all go, it's just all signs continue steering me to, this is the correct move in life for me at this time. Appreciate it, though. When the time is right I will fire up a thread on my next venture/decision is completely made up.

A couple years before the 579 was announced we used to see them all the time in WA because they were running them out of the test center. And Paccar used to have open houses at the center in Mt Vernon before everyone had a phone in their pocket. It’s not a foreign thought to think they’ve built multiple trucks up until now.
As far as build slots for hoods, dealer allotments are now based on how many aero trucks they sell. If they haven’t sold many aero trucks then they won’t have many slots for hoods. They have to try and keep the points in balance.
Also, Peterbilt will only be doing a limited number of painted frames now. My friend has a few 389’s coming this year, one of them was supposed to have a maroon frame. They told him if he wanted to keep that build slot he had to switch the order to a black frame.D.Tibbitt, Siinman, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm an aero truck guy because I like money more than looking cool these days. And yes I will wear white New Balance dad shoes from time to time....

Rush used to cover my seat in plastic along with a paper mat on the floor..but no longer do it. You’d also pickup your truck with 100 gallons diesel in it yet now it’s only $100 of diesel.
When I picked up my last truck I barely got to a station to put fuel in it.
Everything is ridiculous now and got me thinking to shut it down when my insurance renewal comes up.
Getting old now and thinking to just work from November to April and enjoying my summers by the pool. -
I was thinking maybe MATS they would say something but still radio silence,
we’re coming into the second quarter now, curious to see when the 2024 order sheets come out I would think paccar would be trying to hype up a new truck.
not saying that’s not the next gen Pete long hood, but I have yet to see anything confirming it for next year -
