    My wife and I will be making a delivery near Pittsburgh later this week. I am trying to determine a good place close to Cheswyck Pennsylvania to do a 34. Parking in the area is notoriously challenging, but I thought one of you veterans might have a good suggestion. We are considering staying someplace other than the truck for a couple of nights, but I need a safe place to park the truck and load in the meantime. Thanks in advance!

    Yes. I will be headed to Carlisle most likely. However, because of the way it will work with timing we were just going to explore around Pittsburgh for a couple of days ahead of the delivery. I am usually in and out of Pittsburgh area, but not necessarily this time.

    Double Tree by Hilton Pittsburgh- Greentree. (412) 922-8400. This was my go to anytime I had to stay over a weekend in the Pittsburgh area.Trucker friendly, Easy in/ Easy out in any kind of weather. Nice people, quaint PA small town with great Mom N' Pop food and amenities. Approx $100 a night, worth every penny though. Cheers.

    At exit 99 of Interstate 79 there is an independent truck stop that opened up within the past year.

    The Pilot in Bentleyville is near a Giant Eagle and some fast food. If one walks into town, there are more dining options.

    You could park at the airport and rent a car and get a room all in the same place. 34 miles from Cheswick to airport. They do charge 3x the daily rate for anything over 40 foot which will be $36/day.
