That's what happened here. They are off, it came much more south east than this article claims. I live 1 mile north of the Ft. Ball site from 1812. Which is exactly were the bridge that eats trucks is located. Just never certain what you might find when you dig. Pockets of quicksand are common to find under ground. In a few feet, you might see slot of different dirt.
