I use Lucas 5th wheel lube.
It works better and lasts longer.
You do have to keep it warm though if you need to apply in the winter.Keepforgettingmypassword, Rideandrepair, TallJoe and 1 other person Thank this. -
That is why I got these Gear Head Fifth Wheel Grease Pads - Gear Head Lube for the winter time. I never keep my lube oil in the cab so it is always cold in the winter time. These work great and can be stored anywhere without an issue.Keepforgettingmypassword and Rideandrepair Thank this.

It's an art when you find that sweet spot to raise the air bags up when sliding under the plate on your own van and you hear that satisfying light "click" of the jaws locking instead of the THUMP as most people do when dropping and hooking.
I have a Milwaukee M18 battery powered grease gun on the rig. Is Lucas Red the best grease? I have some Valvoline Synthetic grey grease to use.
