What’s gonna happen when people start suing these driverless trucks.
Your honor my client says the autotruck sideswiped him causing my client a lifetime of disabilities. Now since my client was the only witness and there was nobody else to say otherwise this should be a short trial.

yup, but i also still drive (albeit retired) all hours of the day/night, and i don't appreciate being on the road with moronic CDL, steering wheel holder, idjuts.

Jury full of former truck drivers or trucking families
Yep let's go ahead and award a settlement resembling the national debt.JoeyJunk, Another Canadian driver, Concorde and 2 others Thank this. -
The autonomous taxi company Cruise recently had one of its cars crash into the back of a bus.
Those 80K autonomous trucks riding down the 45 raceway, occasionally also referred to as an Interstate, better not crash into one of the competitors. It doesn't matter whether the driverless truck was at fault or not, the company will get sued out of existence.RussianBearTruckeR, JoeyJunk, Another Canadian driver and 3 others Thank this. -

well, robots don't need "pee breaks", nor coffee, nor lunch, nor sleep....breaks.
i wish them well in trying...Another Canadian driver and Oor Thank this. -
But dumbarse unprofessional moronic four-wheelers vastly outnumber steering-wheel holders, and this will do nothing about them.
Also, I bet this company will charge a premium, which means they're not really in competition with the low-rate outfits that train & employ steering wheel holders.BennysPennys, JoeyJunk and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
The lawyers must be salivating right about now.BennysPennys, JoeyJunk, Val_Caldera and 4 others Thank this.
