As I said previously the cheapest new car you can get here in the US is the Nissan Versa,those start around $17K,get decent fuel mileage and have a little bit of style to them for once. They were just given a facelift this year.

Inevitable supply chain issues.

I've worked in Social Services. You try getting anything done with 3¢ to rub together - regardless of what color suit is in office.

People are not the priority. The fattening of their pockets at the cost & benefit of our [cheap] labor is. You can probably see the parallels between an ant colony or a bee hive.

 

In the next 6 months you are going to see US car makers cutting their prices liker Tesla has done just to move vehicles. Interest rates up, fuel up, Repos up, used car prices staring to fall, and dealers being cut off from lines of credit to buy inventory. Could be an interesting period.

 

It’s already started with the truck market. Same time last year people were willing to pay almost $200K for half a million mile Freightliners,now the prices are dropping like a rock,but credit is tightening up!

 

Been there done that, sans a wife, lol, and it was on an old Sporty rat, all that also came under "what ya gotta do", and I also couldn't give two craps what others thought of any ride I've had in my years.

Vans...... I can certainly dispel the creepy candyman comments about THAT!

I remember my grandfather had an old GMC van that had rust everywhere and a spare tire carrier mounted on the back that was later ripped off. He gave the van to my father who used it for a few years. There was a bumper sticker on the back that read:
“Don’t Laugh It’s Paid For!”

 

Yup, that's the best part about a rat ride, the bank can't take it and who the hell wants to steal the thing! lol
