So?
It isn't like most need to go beyond 440.
the Nano VNA is a good tool but tools are better when they are simple to use for most tasks.rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
yes, and no. The first generation NanoVNA, which is the cheap one you get on Amazon and eBay, only natively goes up to 300 MHz. Beyond that it uses the 3rd and 5th harmonics to achieve the higher frequency ranges, and is known to have significant accuracy issues when using the harmonics. It’s a little bit like optical zoom versus digital zoom on a camera. On top of that, if you are not buying from an authentic source, you are getting a cheap copy cat, which will also introduce its own accuracy issues.

Most truckers don't use anything beyond the 27MHz range.

Just watched a youtube vid on a screwdriver type antenna..Very cool but #### it was big, even though its ment for mobile..

I use a Scorpion, it is a challenge on the Prius to mount but on the beater pickup (97 dodge 3500 SWR), I like it. I was going to put one on the service truck I drive every once and a while but it doesn't seem to be cost-effective.

I think it was a scorpion...I was eating at the same time and volume was set low but kinda cool and looked like a smal black telephone pole with a whip..
-
I'm aware. You were the only one touting it going up to 1GHz.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.
-
It's in the description of the product.
