Looks like the driver of the white SUV can check off one of the stupid things he/she needed to do today.
hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Yup, dern near every time I make a run to Phoenix, that scenario happens at 17 & 10.
Gatordude, drvrtech77 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
The car that caused it all didn’t happen to have a number 3 on the door did it? Because that was a classic D. E. move.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Looks like the white SUV (looks like a GMC Acadia) either had a blowout or a wheel fall off!Bean Jr. and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

The quality of the video doesn't allow me to see if the left steer wheel is still attached, but it doesn't appear to be missing.
I'm still thinking this driver was distracted and oversteered to avoid a collision which, of course, caused another.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Look at the passenger side steering wheel. That’s the one I zoomed in on. The SUV dropped on it’s right before it started careening across the lanes towards the barrier.Bean Jr. and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

I can't zoom in using my phone. Post a screen shot.

I used slow motion on a 17" inch screen --
I see the down dips of the white suv, the first being from braking as it attempted a braking lane change to the right; the second as the brake was still in effect at the same time a hard left over correct by the driver.
All 4 wheels are in-tact before the first vehicle, the black 2-door, struck the white suv in the #1 lane, the left being visible at that first impact, the right being visible in the first spin of the suv.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Around the 53-54 second mark the white SUV was trying to get to the shoulder when it started careening. It’s possible there may have been a mechanical failure (steering linkage, tie rod(s),etc.). It’s rare, but it can happen.Bean Jr. and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.
