Again,we don’t know that for certain. The video doesn’t show the truck’s recorded speed, nor does it show the posted speed limit for that particular construction zone. Lastly, there weren’t any workers shown in that construction zone.
Having said that, you have to give the driver the benefit of a doubt.
This was all on the 4 wheeler for failure to yield to highway traffic.
Driver, well done.

oh i don’t argue that. This whole fiasco and off road adventure was 100% a result of the Caddy. I my gripe has nothing to do with what happened. My gripe is the drivers speed in a construction zone, we can agree to disagree on this one. Again in my book there is no defense for carrying that kind of speed in a construction zone. I stand firm on that. The drivers speed is evident by the way his truck reacted and how he got it back up on the road. The trucks rate of speed can’t be contested….it was to fast for the road at the time (because of the construction zone).Hammer166 Thanks this.

Y'all are entirely too quick to give the driver an "Attaboy" because of the car's stupidity.
Firstly, and to @GreenPete359 's point: While the driver might not have been speeding, he clearly carried his speed way too deep into that developing situation. The car showed no inclination it was going to yield yet this driver didn't really react until the car was into his lane. A bit of defensive driving and some hefty braking might well have prevented the foray into the wilds of the median.
Secondly, and most importantly: This driver needs a serious ###-kicking! Who in their right mind is going to go for the median instead of blowing up a few Schneider eggs?!? The odds of coming through a median excursion dirty side down are not the most favorable; throwing out the anchor and prematurely birthing a few dirtbags is by far the better choice!
But I know, I know... trucking culture is to defend the driver in all interactions with idiot four-wheelers, no matter that he does NOT deserve defending, much less an "Attaboy."
And with that, I'd better go digging in the closet for the flamesuit I'm surely going to need.
And sorry to you Schneider drivers, but that old joke was too good pass up! -
Me personally, I would’ve taken the Caddy out. Even in construction zones you still have to yield to highway traffic. You could only be doing 30 mph in a 45 mph rated construction zone and still have some bozo try to pull out in front of you from an on ramp ,thinking they can beat a semi!
