I replaced my Michelin steers today and got 267,000 miles out of them with 7/32 still left on them. What do you all get out of your steer tires?
    I run a dry van with avg 35k-45k lbs loads all 48. A7739A5F-8492-42B1-9137-041A98FB6B04.jpeg 5FBD0F29-36D2-428E-B7D2-F6483F3E919E.jpeg 4965FC8F-AABA-45AD-A8D7-AA8739D6633D.jpeg

Well balanced and maintained Michelin steers I have seen go 300k before the owner got nervous about them. Looks like you were doing just fine with them. How often did you rotate/balance them or did you use Centramatics?

Rotated every 6 months. New shocks every 9-12months with fresh alignment. Tire pressure check every other morning.

That’s really impressive because most of the time they end up getting replaced because a chunk gets knocked out of them, or they don’t wear evenly so you gotta replace both. Very rarely do you get to see them run all the way through their full life course. Job well done.

I got about 200k out of mine, but my steer axle clocks in at 10,800. Big motor.
