But that doesnt make any sense.. Because in open deck your fuel mileage is always determined .. Meaning 100% of the time. Your fuel mileage is determined by what is loaded

I gave an example of same loads same routes and same weights... On a route that I did hundreds of times with people i tslk to everyday.. These are not just numbers in an equation.. An actual real life scenario. And there was no difference give or take .5mpg .. A far cry from the supposed multiple mpgs thatbhave been touted to gain by running an aero truck... It really does not matter in the open deck world 1 bit.. But if you want to believe it does then by all means keep believing that.

But before we are saying aero trucks are better by all means without a doubt.. And now its about specs ? I would not say the trucks i were running with were specd any different then mine . other then they had more horsepower.. Yet the fuel mileage was relatively the same across the board, between all of us... In theory this should not be true... But its all open deck work which has to many variables that dont involve what truck is in front of the load.

Maybe. He’s only been at it since he was a teenager running with his dad. He’s had hoods up until a few years ago when he decided to try something different with his equipment.

That’s why I said it would be interesting to see if TMC has seen a difference going from hoods to 579’s. That would be a fairly large sample group to look at.
