My company runs me hard if I am out of the house. And I am always home if it's slow. And I love this about them, I never have to sit more than 10 hours. Now I did ran reffer for 6 years and I hated 34s. I saved every minute, so I could recap. Safety would talk to me every month, becouse I was the lowest driver with on duty time. For me sitting in the truck is harder than actually working.

I run reefer, I tru to look at it this way. There are times I would like to have an early day, but hate stopping with 2-3 hours left available to drive on clock. But there are days when I just want to be done and parked.

I prefer a 34 all day.... your system needs a rest. Also, you want to have to as many hours as possible at your disposal. Burnout is real folks.

Running recaps is nice if your appointment times permit, but being a company driver I seldom had the luxury of choosing to run recaps or wait for a 34. The freight seemed to make that decisions for me. On the days or weeks I did run recaps it was really nice knowing I was likely going to get stopped so early I was guaranteed to get a parking spot, a good one. But after a while, I started to feel like I was only working part-time.

If you have long runs, a 34 can be more productive then recaps. I prefer my coworkers to run recaps. I’ll be delivered, reloaded, and taking a reset before they even deliver.

I never did a 34 and would stay out a third of a year at a time.

Take off when the baseball games come on get done before Dave Nemo comes.

Usually wake up from the heat in the truck at about 11 either turn on the air go back to bed or go out and go be a tourist for a bit.

Never understood why people would drive during the day if they don't have to. Pretty dumb.

If the recap hours I am going to pickup for several days are less than 8, I would rather reset unless its in the middle of the week.

Good point about parking I forgot to mention it. But I try to park at the back of lot. Gets some exercise in walking to bathroom, unless it’s to #### then it’s a gamble.

For me, I prefer 34. I like to get away from the truck. It recharges me mentally. Where as recaps for me, its a day after day grind with no light at the end of the tunnel.
