Sorry, hit the wrong thing, but the dinky little steps on the side of the track frame that are usually waded up from contacting a tree limb are actually a factory approved tie down point? I guess I haven’t ever seen that, but have seen other spots on the track frames marked as tie down points.

Bribery - many other cases as well

I will have to pay attention next time I move a cat which isn’t very often.
I usually use the tracks unless they seem extremely floppy and then I usually find another spot. Seems that I see brand new deer equipment sitting on trailers that’s tied by the tracks so idk. -
Most everyone uses tracks, and I used to as well, but no longer do. The machine can move slightly inside the tracks. Using them in addition to
tie down points on the carbody makes sense, but we still don't do it. -
Did you have a problem? Just curious
I usually use the points on the rear inside of the track frame as well to help restrain braking forces on the bigger machines. -
Yes, my son was hauling an older feller buncher for a guy and cross chained to the tracks. Something happened and he had to stop quickly. The surge of that machine inside its track stretched a chain and let it slip on the deck a bit.
That was the last time we hooked to tracks. -
Albeit my smaller scale truck, I do haul equipment appropriate for the rollback, I never have and never will attach a chain/strap to anything that has any give in it.
That's just my way
Oxbow Thanks this.
