Hi everyone got a 01 6nz which has about 550k miles after it's last overhaul.
Recently oil has started to come out of the blowby tube been noticeable after the last oil change.
Truck doesn't have any blowby smoke or any smoke out of the stack.
I drove it hard these last few weeks and still is putting power down as usual. Getting the same mpg. It just seems to be puking oil out the blowby tube.
No engine light oil or anything
All gushes read fine the oil psi gage seems to be around 2-3 psi higher at cruising speeds. Usually used to be around 67-68 psi now around 70-72psi
Time for a oil change again and basically oil went from full to just under the fill mark on the dipstick on around 12k miles.
Any help please

If its not leaving a puddle then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I guess it depends on how one describes "puking". It doesn't sound like you think it has increased crankcase pressure, just oil. Is the oil black or milky?

In a 2002 with a c12 company added a gallon of Lucas one oil change somehow that engine did the same thing till the next oil change. It never did again on regular Dino oil alone. Nobody knew why either…

Didn't do the oil change myself and can't confirm which oil. Going to the mechanic on Monday.
the driver side step did get covered oil.
Oil did go from the full to add line on the dip stick in around 12k that's my definition of puking I guess.
Oil is black, checked coolant no issues there.Oxbow Thanks this. -
I won't put Lucas anywhere near anything I own. Tried some in my 5 point slow and it made all kinds of God awful ticks and knocks. Drained it all out the next day and put straight 5W-20 in and was all good again.HoundDog7, Magoo1968, RockinChair and 1 other person Thank this.

I've seen junk oil cause all kinds of issues. I don't trust anybody to even spin my filters on. I'd definitely get it out ASAP.
Saw a study years back adressing how most contaminents in oil are introduced during a PM.
That's stuck with me -
Even fresh oil out of a pail or jug won't pass an ISO particle count. Ever wonder why all oil from Cat is in black pails? So you can't see all the sediment in it.Magoo1968, Oxbow and Big Road Skateboard Thank this.

Pretty normal to burn about a gallon of oil I. 12,000 milesDiesel Dave and Oxbow Thank this.
